Whole Wheat Sour Dough Banana Bread Recipe
This is an interesting banana bread recipe that’s both sour and sweet at the same time. It also has the texture of a cake. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
* 2 bananas, mashed
* 1 stick butter
* 3 ½ cups sourdough starter
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 2 eggs, preferably free range
* ¾ cup organic evaporated cane juice
* ½ cup walnuts
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Grease a 4 x 8 inch loaf pan with butter.
3. In a large bowl mix in butter, sugar, egg, walnuts.
4. Add mashed bananas and continue mixing.
5. Combine the contents of the bowl with the sourdough mixture.
6. Transfer the mix to the loaf pan.
7. Bake the bread for approximately an hour.
8. Check if the loaf is ready by inserting a toothpick. If it comes out clean, it’s ready to be taken out of the oven.
9. Tips: Sourdough proportion should be 2/3 freshly ground whole wheat flour, 1/3 water, doubled in volume twice a day.
