  2. hi…I’m bread (not a banana bread). I love banana bread. I’ll try your lovely recipe (he..he…he).

    Cheers!

  3. so easy to make. the batter tastes great…ill let you all know how the final product is!

  4. I just made it, this recipe is on the right track. Moist with a good flavor, a little more bananas and a little less flour would improve it! 7 out of 10 !

  5. This is pretty good… I agree with the previous poster–add more banana and a little less flour… This is also a good recipe to embelish with some personal flair: add some orange juice and grated orange rind or some chocolate chips or maybe macadamia nuts and coconut… But it’s pretty good plain, too! :)

  6. Could anyone tell me if I can add walnuts to this recipe? and if so, how much can I add?

  7. You can add walnuts or another type of nut like pecans. You could also add fruit or even chocolate chips. I would add about 1/2 cup of walnuts (or other ingredient).

  8. Thank you Laura!

  9. lovelly bread more bananas like 2 3/4 or 3 works well

  10. This receipe was quick amd soooo good..I added a half teaspoon of vanilla..

  11. I added some crazins (Dried Cranberries)that I had on hand..delicious.

  12. Good recipe!

    I made a few alterations.
I’m in the Uk so I weighed things in grams.
230g plain flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 115g butter, 170g dark brown sugar, 2 eggs and I only had 3 overripe bananas so I put in a dash of orange juice as suggested above.

I also do not have a loaf tin so I used a round cake tin.

  13. Shirley your a star, I’m also in the uk and was wondering what 1/2 cup of butter was??
I’m heading in to the kitchen now to try your recipe!!!!

  14. Gemma. To measure half a cup of butter do the following:
Half fill a cup with water and then fill the cup with butter until the water reaches the top of the cup. Empty out the water and there you have, half a cup of butter!

  15. can anybody tell me what would happen if i used cornflour instead of all purpose? its all i have in the cupboard but unsure if it would work, im not an experienced baker so i have no idea! willing to give it a go but mabye someone could save me from potential disaster!!

  16. I used cornmeal/flour in a banana bread recipe by mistake. I was out flour, went to the store and quickly grabbed what I thought was flour. When I got home it said corn flour. I had to use it as all the other ingredients were mixed. The banana bread was some of the moist bread I have ever made. Texture was ‘grainier’, along the lines of corn pones, but the flavor delicious. I received a lot of compliments on it. Friends said the bread remained moist longer.

  17. Add more mashed overripe bananas to make it more delicious.

  18. i added banana extract to make it better

  19. ekibastos…

    ekibastos…

  20. this was the worst bread ever. it should b called crap bread and thats how bad it was. beware do not make this bread.

  21. “Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.”
    What I can not believe!

  22. Ihad to use white sugar as I ran out of the brown, but I added more bananas and it was awesome! I also added chocolate chips and my hubby and brother thought they were in heaven!

  23. Simple easy and tastes great thanks for this, I tried cutting down the sugar and using half margerene half butter and it still worked well
