Here’s a recipe for a rich and (yes) sinful peanut butter and banana bread bread with chocolate chips. A great recipe that will cause your family and friends to succumb to temptation!

PREP TIME: 20 Min
COOK TIME: 1 Hr
READY IN: 1 Hr 20 Min
SERVINGS: 12

INGREDIENTS

* 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
* 1/4 cup granulated sugar
* 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
* 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1 ripe large banana, mashed (1 cup)
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
* 1 1/2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
* 1/2 egg, slightly beaten
* 1/2 cup chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350F.

2. Spray the 9×5 inch loaf pan with flour-added cooking spray. Otherwise you can also choose to grease the pan.

3. Mix together flour, sugars, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together in a large mixing bowl.

4. In another bowl, mix in the mashed bananas, milk, peanut butter, oil, vanilla and egg.

5. Add banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir it until it is just combined.

6. Finally, add in the chocolate chips.

7. Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake it for 50 to 55 minutes. Use a toothpick or cake tester and insert in the middle. If it comes out clean your banana bread is ready.

8. Allow the loaf to cool in the loaf pan for 10 minutes before removing from the pan and allowing to cool fully on a wire rack.

9. Wrap and store overnight before serving to your family and friends.

  4. Haha If I just eat celery for the next decade then I should be good!! haha esp considering My family is going to make peanut brittle tomorrow!!! yayayayayayay!! my absolute FAVORITE holiday food!! its usually all I eat..that and celery

  5. ;)

  6. I’ll tell you all how it went…:/

  7. I made this today with the kids and it’s really yummy! I doubled the recipe (didn’t want to deal with “1/2 egg”,) used 4 bananas and forgot the vanilla. Ooops. It was yummy! The kids loved it, it’s super moist, and very good!

    Two things I’ll do differently next time: use more cinnamon (couldn’t tell it was there,) and use regular peanut butter vs. chunky. I don’t really care for chunky, or nuts in general (in my banana bread,) so I’ll use the plain stuff and see how it goes. Will definitely try again!
