I like to add in some chunks of apple to this recipe. I peel an apple and cut into small pieces and stir them into the mixture!

I added a whole, peeled, medium-sized Honeycrisp apple cut into small pieces, 1/4 cup raisins, 1/4 pecan halves, and 1/4 cup Light & Fit vanilla yogurt. I baked it at 350 for 1 hour and 5 minutes. It is excellent! My family likes more dense, less crumbly bread, and this is great for that. Delicious!

I just made this for my husband and son and both of them LOVED it. My almost 3 year old kept saying, “Thank you Momma for making this. I love banana bread…” and my husband said, “I think this is the best banana bread I’ve ever had.” He loved how it actually TASTED like banana!! Many recipes out there give you only a hint of the banana flavor. This one did not disappoint.

I switch out half the flour for whole wheat flour, and 1/2 cup of the sugar for splenda, still tastes awesome, and kids and hubby love it!!!
