Banana espresso chocolate chip bread is an amazing recipe with rich chocolate chips and a touch of delicious coffee flavor. It can be served both for breakfast as well as a snack for the evening supper.

INGREDIENTS

• 1 1/2 cups mashed, very ripe bananas (about 4)
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
• 1/4 cup whole milk
• 1 large egg
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2. In a medium size bowl, mix well bananas, sugar, butter, milk and eggs till these are incorporated well.

3. In another bowl whisk together flour, instant espresso powder, baking soda and salt. Now mix together the dry and wet ingredients and stir until combined. Now add the chocolate chips.

4. Pour the batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan and smooth the surface with a rubber spatula.

5. Bake in preheated oven for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
