Here is a perfect recipe for delicious afternoon snack with mouthwatering taste of chocolate chips and cherry deeply baked in banana bread. It is very soft, rich, tender and moist.

PREPARATION TIME: 15 Min
BAKING TIME: ~ 40 Min
READY TIME: ~ 1 hour
SERVINGS: 1 loaf

INGREDIENTS

• Nonstick cooking spray
• 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2/3 cup sugar or sugar substitute blend* equivalent to 2/3 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 cup refrigerated or frozen egg product, thawed, or 1 egg, beaten
• 1/4 cup fat-free dairy sour cream
• 1/4 cup fat-free milk
• 2 teaspoons cooking oil
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2/3 cup mashed banana (about 2 medium bananas)
• 8 maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
• 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
• 2 tablespoons miniature semisweet chocolate pieces

DIRECTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Also grease a 9×5x3 INCH loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.

2.In a large bowl mix together all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.

3.In another bowl mix sour cream, milk, egg and oil. Stir in mashed bananas and vanilla.

4.Pour the dry ingredients along the wet ingredients and incorporate the mixture well. Add chopped cherries, walnuts and chocolate chips.

5.Pour the batter in prepared pan and bake for about 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Take it out and let cool for 10 minutes.
